The converter is plugged into the front part as an alternative to ink cartridges. Like a syringe, the ink is absorbed directly from the ink bottle. Therefore, ink cartridges will become obsolete and plastic waste will be reduced.
Thanks to the clever folding mechanism of the piston rod, the converter can be reduced in size by almost 20% while holding the same ink capacity. Due to its small size, the Mini converter fits into even Kaweco's smallest pocket fountain pens of the Liliput and Sport series.
