Gravitas Monster Grade 5 Titanium Stonewashed

The exceptional writing experience of the Monster now with coated grade 5 titanium in a stonewashed finish and an ultem barrel adding a touch of color and resilience. The Monster is a substantial and well balanced fountain pen. 

At the heart of this creation lies the Kraken Filling System, a revolutionary filling mechanism inspired by mechanical heart valves. Designed by Ben Walsh, this filling system is new to anything else in the industry. While researching shut-off valves for retractable pens, Ben turned to medical devices for answers. What he found was a beautifully simple yet highly effective sealing solution. That concept evolved into the Kraken Filling System, a system that’s closer to a mechanical heart valve than a traditional Vacuumatic filling system. What makes the Kraken Filling System brilliant are the following :
- efficient design that gives the Monster a outstanding 7ml ink capacity at full load
- use of specialised quad ring (specifically made for sealing and due to its shape it retains lubricant in between points of contact ensuring constant lubrication and improved seal) 
- due to its precision machining the system offers high efficiency in filling translating to a large volume of ink even with a single plunge 

The writing point of the Monster is a Size 8 steel nib, paired with an ebonite feed. The Monster in Teal and Silver come with a silver color nib and Black comes with a Black color nib. The section of the Monster can be unscrewed to allow for the pen to be cleaned and for the filling system to be greased and maintained.
